Slumps are enemies in Owlboy that can be found in Strato.

Appearance

Slumps are shaped a lot like frogs. They have gray faces and legs, and a bright blue torso with a little blue tail. They have blue eyes, with blue bubbles on the sides of their faces and on their throats.

Behavior

Slumps will sit idly on a ledge until they spot Otus, at which point they will curl up into a ball and roll towards him. They will damage Otus on contact and continue to roll away off screen. If they are defeated, they will splash toxic slime, which will poison Otus, briefly dealing damage over time.

Instruction Manual Entry

Always found in damp areas, sooner or later. If startled, Slumps will inflate and roll away like a boulder. Popping them is not recommended, as they are filled with toxic slime.

Trivia

• In the game files, the blue color the Slumps are seen with in game seems to initially have been an alternate color scheme. The folder the sprites are in, "Frog," has other sprite sheets where they are mostly yellow, and seem to have many more attacks and movements than just rolling along the ground.
