Toby is one of the citizens of Vellie. He hangs out in the settlement's hot spring.
Description[]
A relaxed guy who enjoys bathing in the Vellie hot spring as much as he can.
Appearence[]
He has a beard styled in thick bunches, with hair also in bunches. A towel around his waist and a washcloth-towel on his head are the only "clothing" toby wears. He also has a small bottle of (probably) alcohol resting on his head which he occasionally takes a drink from. A few of his teeth are missing.
Personality[]
Toby generally has a relaxed way of life, but doesn't deal well under stress.
Relationships[]
Otus[]
He enjoys talking with Otus, telling tales of remembering when Otus was born and how he heard of the news whilst he was relaxing in the hot spring. When Otus is struggling with the heat of the hot spring, Toby teaches him how to cope with the heat and learn to relax in it.
Asio[]
Asio is seen by Toby as the protector of Vellie, always helping lead the settlement in troubled times.
Trivia[]
- After Toby teaches Otus how to cope with the hot spring's heat, the player will gain some permanent life and get the Hot Spring Mastery achievement.
- After the evacuation of Vellie Toby can be found at the end of the Owl Temple, heading back to the ruins of Advent. He will tell the player a bit about his life.
- In the game files, Toby's sprites are named "Saunaman", and are located in levels/Vellie folder rather than the "characters" folder where most other character sprites are found.
